Refund policy

Greenshoots Bio (Pty) Ltd                 Effective Date: February 2026


1. Nature of Products

Greenshoots Bio supplies naturally derived microbial agricultural products intended for soil, environmental and livestock management applications.

Due to the biological and perishable nature of these products, returns are strictly limited as set out below.


2. General Returns Policy

We do not accept returns based on:

  • change of mind

  • incorrect ordering by the customer

  • unused or partially used products

  • perceived lack of performance where products were used according to varying environmental or agricultural conditions

All sales are considered final unless the product is defective or damaged in transit, or where returns are required in terms of applicable consumer protection law.


3. Damaged in Transit

If a product is received damaged:

  • Notify us within 48 hours of delivery

  • Provide photographs of the packaging and product

  • Do not use the product until the claim is assessed

Once confirmed, we may:

  • issue a replacement; or

  • provide a refund at our discretion


4. Defective Products (CPA Rights)

In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act:

If a product is defective, unsafe, or not of acceptable quality, customers may request:

  • repair (not applicable)

  • replacement

  • or refund

within 6 months of purchase, provided that:

  • the product has been stored correctly

  • it has been used according to instructions

  • it has not been altered or contaminated

We may request:

  • batch number

  • photos

  • usage details

  • return of the product for assessment


5. Non-Returnable Situations

Returns or refunds will not be granted where:

  • products were stored incorrectly

  • application instructions were not followed

  • products were mixed with other substances not recommended

  • damage occurred after delivery due to customer handling

  • normal agricultural variability affected outcomes


6. Refund Process

Once a claim is approved:

  • refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible

  • processing times may vary depending on payment provider timelines

  • product name

  • description of issue

  • photographs (if applicable)

8. Legal Notice

Nothing in this policy limits or excludes rights available to consumers under the Consumer Protection Act of South Africa. Act 68 of 2008 (CPA)
